Our Journey

Don’t you just hate it when your talking to someone and all of a sudden all you hear is static?

Has the world’s static been distracting you? Are you getting boggled down with well meaning questions, that really aren’t well meaning? Remember God’s plan for you is NOT for your neighbor, your family members, or your friends. Sometimes they really won’t understand why we do what we do, and that is okay.He has a plan for each and every one of us. Sometimes that plan is abundantly clear and sometimes the static of the world gets in the way.

Why did you start homeschooling? Can you give a valid reason without placing the blame on the school system, or the government, or society? Why did we start homeschooling? Because God made is abundantly clear that our path was to start homeschooling. Yes, He used incidents of the world that happened to cause us to be unhappy with what was going on. Do I blame the school? I use to. But God has made it crystal clear to me that it wasn’t the school, or the teacher, or the administration, or the school board, He just used those things as a tool to open my eyes as to what His plan was for our family. Yes, those things caused me to get upset and to ultimately do what He wanted us to do, but they were not to blame.

That being said, do you have a mission’s statement for your homeschool? If not I encourage you to sit down and put one together. Evaluate why you are doing this? What do you plan to get from this roller coaster ride called homeschooling?

Our Homeschool Mission Statement

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:5-9

Our goal in homeschooling is to:

Raise children who follow Christ, love to learn & are equipped to do whatever God calls them to do.

To create a learning environment to suit my children’s interest & changing needs.

To encourage my children’s curiosity, imagination, and love of learning, and that education is about the journey, not just the destination.

Don’t allow the world’s static to get you off course. Stay strong and stick to your convictions.

Wishing you many Blessings Rainbow
