Our Journey

SchoolhouseTeachers.com Review

Are you on “summer break” like us? Or maybe you are just starting your homeschool journey and feeling a little confused about what you should be doing. Maybe you feel like you’re missing something, or you want to add a little something to your day but you’re not sure what. I got to check out this amazing website and I just had to tell you about it.

SchoolhouseTeacher.com, which is a division of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, has just what you’re looking for, even some stuff you probably didn’t even think about.

SchoolhouseTeacher.com is a virtual lesson book. Need a little help with Math? No problem, they have teachers with daily, weekly, or monthly lessons. Need a little review on a certain lesson?  Check out the archives for prior lessons. Math is not the only subject. There is Lapbooking, Science, History, Writing, Geography, Literature, Home Economics, Guitar lessons, Vocal lesson, Spanish, Reading lists, Spelling, Games, Copywork, and History to name a few.

Another benefit that I really like is the Schoolhouse Planners. I was able to print up the “Big Mama” planner for me, Amber got the Intermediate Planner and Leann got the Primary Planner and now they can stay on track with their own yearly planner. While browsing through all the different tabs I can across a course checklist. If you are anything like me, and always freak out and get stressed out right before it’s time for your evaluations, then this will be a biggie for you too. These wonderful Checklists allow you to keep track of which course you are using. They are monthly checklists that list each subject and are available for all ages. There is even a blank one that you can fill in.

The SchoolhouseTeacher has a variety of lesson from Pre-K through High School along with Special Needs and Parental Guides. There is something for everyone!

Remember those cute tote bags for TOS I was telling you about that got me hooked?

Well, if you want one now is the time to purchase a 1 year membership because you will get the 2013 Annual Print Book and your choice of the Winter Cranberry or Chocolate Mint tote bag (shown above), and some cool bonus gifts, all for the reduced price of $49 (regular price – $64.26).

You can get your first month subscription for only $1, and then pay only $5.95 each month after that.
