Our Journey

As we embark on a new year, are you looking back wondering about what you might have changed? Or are your eyes facing towards the horizon ready for the upcoming surprises?

I catch myself looking back 216612_1788907733970_4328991_nwondering if I had done this or maybe that, then maybe just maybe this wouldn’t have happened this way. I know everything happens for a reason and each one of those episodes happened to further my walk in this crazy world. Sometimes the past rears its head and tempts us to deviate from our planned path, but not always. It’s nice to be able to look back and say, Yeah it was hard but we made it! So what have you made it through? What might you have changed if you could?

So what happened to us in 2012:

  • We dealt with a lot of medical issues
  • We had a very flexible school year
  • We excelled in math
  • We stumbled in Reading/Grammar
  • I still freaked out over evaluation time
  • I realized that my girls really do listen
  • I became a vegetarian
  • I became part of TOS
  • We learned to live in the moment

And even though some of those issues were difficult to deal with and some of them we are still dealing with, I wouldn’t change a thing.

I am thankful that I get to stay home and take care of my family every day. I love homeschooling my girls, I honestly enjoy being a wife and a mother. As I think about 2012, I am reminded of the sun setting in the rearview mirror.

clip_image002 The light shines in your eyes and distracts you from what is right in front of you. But once you turn the corner, or the sun dips lower than the trees, we get to see the beauty of the moon rising and the stars twinkling in the evening sky! 234The irony is that the moon and stars are always there, just like our future. It’s just hard to see when we have the sun shining so brightly on us. Let the sun set on the past!

So this chick is looking to the horizons, checking out the new wonders that are out there. Ready for new fresh beginnings.

And the promise of tomorrow!!!

Wishing you many Blessings for 2013 Rainbow
